Gnome of The Lord is a family owned business based in the UK, however, its story began when we were living in the USA.
Humour and laughter have always been important ingredients in my life. Whenever there are cards for sale, I inevitably gravitate towards the funny ones, I’ve lost count of how many I have seen and enjoyed but I have also come to realise that something was missing. When we look for funny Christian cards, even in churches and Christian bookstores, the offer is very limited or none at all. Well…not anymore.

What we do & Why it matters
Gnome of the Lord was born from the desire to spread joy across the world. Our products encapsulate the Christian message of hope, joy and encouragement, in a fun and humorous way, making them the perfect gift to spread laughter to friends, family, and anyone else you know who needs a joy transfusion.

It all started when we were students at a Bible College in California. Amidst many logistic and financial challenges, we began to experience the joy of the Lord infusing us with hope and strength. This changed our lives, and it will change your life, too.
We believe God’s joy is accessible to everyone and those who get it will make the world a better place. So our mission is to put a big smile on as many faces as possible, and to fill the atmosphere with contagious, healthy laughter, one card at a time – for now. In the next phase of the business we will release a range of fun merchandise.
Why Gnome of the Lord?
I grew-up playing word-games and I have a predilection for clever puns. As my love for the Word of God grew, the inspiration came, and the rest is history. One of the first cards to be created was “Blessed be the Gnome of the Lord”. It was the perfect name for our brand and our venture to bless others, especially the Lord. Joy is one of God’s attributes – it’s part of who He is – and He loves when His children choose to display it.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)
